To make a hairy, scary cake . . .
you have to find a pot
and fill it full of horror things
you do not like a lot. You put in worms and slug tails
and bees’ eyes and bat’s nose
and mix it up together
then throw in squirrel’s toes. At the squelchy end of baking,
you’ve made a ‘horror cake’
to scare your mum and dad because
it wriggles on the plate!
